Big news: FastMath is now Numbio. Same daily mental-math workout, now with a new name, a fresh look, and a much bigger toolkit to take you further.

How it started

When FastMath launched in 2021, the idea was simple: a few focused minutes a day to get genuinely faster at mental arithmetic. No clutter, no endless levels to grind. Just smart, bite-sized practice at the right difficulty.

That simplicity struck a chord. Year after year, more people made FastMath part of their daily routine, and they came for all kinds of reasons:

  • Students brushing up for math tests and exams

  • University learners keeping their fundamentals sharp

  • Job seekers prepping for the mental-math and estimation rounds in consulting, finance, and analyst interviews

  • Lifelong learners training their brains for the pure satisfaction of staying sharp

One simple app, quietly powering a lot of different goals.

One app, a hundred goals

As FastMath’s community grew, so did the wish list, and it pulled in every direction at once.

A ten-year-old drilling times tables needs something completely different from a finance candidate racing through percentages, or a retiree after a fun daily brain teaser. Teachers asked for curriculum-style exercises; interview candidates for estimation and shortcut tricks; power users for the freedom to design their own sessions and track every detail.

We kept adding features, but FastMath, both the foundation and the name, had grown too small for what people were doing with it. We could have shipped another update and called it “FastMath 4.0.” But bolting more rooms onto the old house wouldn’t do the vision justice. The app had outgrown its name.

Meet Numbio

So we didn’t just update FastMath. We reimagined it. Numbio is FastMath all grown up: the same mission (make mental math a habit that sticks), now with a dramatically bigger toolkit and room to grow. The name says it: Numbio is about numbers, in more forms and more ways than ever.

What’s new in Numbio

  • More number types. Go far beyond whole numbers: practice decimals, fractions, money, Roman numerals, binary, scientific notation, and more.

  • More operations. The four basics, plus the percentages, exponents, roots, and modulo that show up in real exams and real jobs.

  • Special trainings. Focused modes built around specific skills: Times Tables, Word Problems, Equations, the Rule of Three, Chains, Fraction Fun, and more.

  • AI recommendations. Numbio learns where you struggle and points you to the exact practice that will move the needle, so no minute is wasted.

  • More flexible custom trainings. Build your own sessions from the ground up, mixing the number types, operations, and difficulty that match your goals.

  • Sync across devices. Sign in and pick up right where you left off, whether you’re on your iPhone or your iPad.

  • And much more. Number games like Number Hunt, Magic Square, and Sudoku; detailed statistics; daily streaks; and mental-math tricks taught directly, not left for you to figure out.

Already on FastMath? You’re set

The best part: Numbio is the same app you already have, leveled up. Update on the App Store and FastMath becomes Numbio automatically. Your progress, statistics, and Pro subscription come right along with you. Nothing to re-buy, nothing to move by hand. Just open it and keep going.

Same mission, bigger toolkit

What hasn’t changed is Numbio’s heart: a few focused minutes a day, at the right level, with a real-world payoff. Split the bill, sanity-check a price, walk into an interview ready for anything. Numbio just gives you more ways to get there.
